I do not agree that we have to think the road less travelled because that would mean that we will not be able to see the possible problems ahead of us. Therefore our chances of improving fast would be low. I think that the road more travelled would be a better choice because it allows us to know what were the mistakes that people who took that path in the past did. Hence, we can prevent ourselves from doing those mistakes and have a good headstart. For example, if I have been taking History all the while in my secondary school days but when I came to Junior College I decided to try something new by taking geography( the road less travelled). Since it was a subject that was totally new to me, my level of performance in that subject was very low. I was always scraping through or failing the subject for the first half of the year. I was not skilled enough because the skills involved in Geography were different from that of those involved in History. For example, in History, I did source-based questions. However in Geography I was introduced to Data- Response questions. Somewhat similar to source-based questions but still the tecniques required were not the same. I had to interpret maps and describe them in relevance to the main topic. After the first half of the year, I got a better hand of the subject and the skills involved. Then I managed to score better in Geography. However, it was not eenough to sustain me through the promotional examinations. I reflected on my actions and told myself that if only I had taken the road more travelled, I would not have been in this situation now. Atleast, my knowledge in History from secondary school would have helped me to have better headstart in A level History. Therefore, I might have gotten better grades. Whatever it is, Live goes on. What is life without making mistakes and learning from them??.... Can u learn to cycle well without the painful falls earlier on?.. Same logic. I take this setback as a lesson to learn from and move on. Labels: My Life
